How do I rent a self storage container?
When you're ready give us a call or email us and we can provide you with a quote based on your individual needs and if necessary provide you with advice e.g. about the appropriate size of container. We'll then arrange an appointment to meet you at our storage facility where we will show you our storage containers and answer any questions you may have. If you're happy and want to go ahead we will require you to show us photo id (passport/drivers licence) and take the first payment.
Can you tell me more about your security measures?
Our storage facility is secure and monitored 24/7 by state of the art CCTV, giving you total peace of mind. Access to the facility can only be gained through a gated, barrier pin code access system and our facility is surrounded by a robust steel perimeter fence preventing any unauthorised access. Your storage container can only be accessed by you and you'll be given your own CISA armoured padlock, which is included in the cost of the rental.
Can I access my container at any time?
Yes, is the simple answer! Unlike many storage facilities at Bedwas Self Storage we offer FREE unlimited 24/7 access, and all our storage containers are at ground level for easy access, so you can get to your belongings at a time that's convenient for you. The storage facility is monitored 24 hours a day but you'll be given a unique passcode to enter the facility and to open your container you'll have your own CISA armoured padlock, which is included in the cost of the rental.
Is there a minimum storage time?
We do have a minimum 4 weeks rental period but there is no set contract length and there are a range of payment options available to give you flexibility if your needs change.

If your storage needs change have a chat to us about the options and we you can transfer you to a different size container.
Do you have any packaging and other supplies?
We offer a range of self storage supplies at our facility including top quality cardboard boxes in all sizes, packaging labels, packaging tape, bubble wrap and dust covers.

- Larger 20ft container providing 160 Sq Ft storage space (approx. contents of 3 bedroom house or a 7.5 Tonne Box Van).
- Smaller 8ft container providing 56 Sq Ft storage space (approx. contents of 1 bedroom flat or a Transit Van).
What happens if my storage needs change and I need more or less space?
If your storage needs change have a chat to us about the options and we you can transfer you to a different size container.

- We accept cash, cheque, all major credit and debit cards and can also securely set up direct debits using the UK's leading secure payment provider Worldpay.
- We have selected Worldpay to manage the processing of payments due to their payment solution being trusted, secure and easy-to-use.
Although you can store a wide range of items with us including furniture, clothes, books & electrical goods. Due to health and safety regulations we can't store the following:
- No animals, birds, fish or any other living organisms.
- No illegal substances or goods you’ve bought or that have come into your possession illegally including drugs, explosives, weapons or ammunition.
- No flammable, toxic, dangerous, hazardous or combustible materials, gases or liquids. Including radioactive materials, toxic waste, asbestos, paint, diesel, petrol, oil, artificial fertiliser and cleaning solvents.
What's your Refund Policy?
- Refunds will be given if payment has taken in advance and notice has been given as per license agreement before any items have been placed in the allocated storage container.
- For all refunds due to an error in your payment amount or other reasons, please email: info@bedwasselfstorage.co.uk quoting the details address, full name, contact number and reason for requesting a refund.
- The accounts department will deal with your query at the earliest possible opportunity and may ask for some additional details to process your refund.
